Lombard, IL – Residents in Lombard, DuPage County and Chicago’s western suburbs can handle several DMV needs closer to home next week when a Mobile DMV visits the village’s annual Senior Fair.
According to the Village of Lombard, appointments are still available for the Illinois Secretary of State’s Mobile DMV on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Madison Meadow Athletic Center, 500 E. Wilson Ave.
The Mobile DMV will be part of Lombard’s 20th Annual Senior Fair and will offer several services normally available through Secretary of State facilities.
Residents can apply for or renew standard and REAL ID driver’s licenses and state identification cards. Vehicle registration stickers will also be available.
The village said organ and tissue donor registration and voter registration can also be completed when a driver’s license or state ID is being processed.
However, written and road tests will not be offered at the Mobile DMV event.
Appointments are required, and space is limited. The village is encouraging residents who need DMV services to reserve a time before appointments fill.
Those planning to attend should also review identification and documentation requirements before arriving. Applicable fees will be required for services provided during the event.
The Senior Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. The event is geared toward older adults and includes resources and services for seniors, though the village’s announcement also encourages people to share the DMV appointment opportunity with seniors in their lives.
Additional appointment and Senior Fair information is available through the Village of Lombard’s website.
