Lombard, IL – DuPage County residents looking to make a difference ahead of Veterans Day will have two opportunities to donate blood Tuesday, Nov. 10, as the Village of Lombard hosts its annual fall blood drive at locations offering afternoon and evening hours.
According to the Village of Lombard, the community blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, with donation opportunities at First Church of Lombard and Yorktown Center.
The event encourages residents throughout Lombard and surrounding DuPage County communities in the western Chicago suburbs to take time out of their day to help save lives.
Two Blood Donation Locations Available
Residents can choose between two locations depending on their schedules:
First Church of Lombard: 220 S. Main St., Lombard, from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Yorktown Center: Near the north entrance next to The Square, from 3 to 7 p.m. Both locations will accept walk in donors, although appointments are preferred to help coordinate the donation process.
Giving Back Ahead of Veterans Day
The blood drive takes place one day before Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, providing an opportunity for residents to participate in a community service event during a week dedicated to honoring military veterans.
Blood donations support patients who need transfusions during surgeries, medical treatments, emergencies and other health situations.
The village is encouraging community members to consider participating, emphasizing that taking a little time to donate can make a meaningful difference.
Those interested in donating are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and appointment information before arriving.
