The community is invited to a Grand Opening celebration for the renovated Miner Memorial Library and new Center for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Kankakee Community College on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 3 5 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the entrance of the library.
“We are excited to unveil these renovated and new spaces,” said KCC President Dr. Michael Boyd. “The Miner Memorial Library remains a central hub for student learning and resource discovery, and the new Center for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion reflects our commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive campus for all.”
The library renovation focused on creating flexible learning environments, updating technology, and streamlining collections to better meet student needs. The Center for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is a new dedicated space designed to support student success and promote inclusive excellence across the college community.
