Kankakee, IL – Just in time for Halloween season, Kankakee area residents curious about ghost hunting can spend Thursday night learning how paranormal investigators search for things that supposedly go bump in the night.
According to Kankakee Community College Continuing Education, The Illinois Paranormalists , also known as TIP, will lead a ghost hunting class Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at KCC.
The two hour program will take participants behind the scenes of paranormal investigations, including the techniques and equipment investigators use while examining reports of unusual activity.
Organizers say the class will feature stories from actual ghost investigations along with examples presented as paranormal evidence. Experienced investigators will also participate in a live question and answer session, giving attendees an opportunity to ask about cases and how investigations are conducted.
The event is being promoted to skeptics, believers and people who are simply curious about paranormal investigations. No previous ghost hunting experience is required.
The class costs $25 , and KCC says space is limited.
The event comes during the heart of the Halloween season, offering residents in Kankakee County and the surrounding area a chance to explore paranormal investigation without having to venture into an allegedly haunted location themselves.
Registration is available through Kankakee Community College's online continuing education system. Those interested in additional information or registration assistance can also call the college's Continuing Education office at 815 802 8206 .
The program is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.
