KANKAKEE, IL – The Riverwoods Apartments, a 125 unit complex housing Kankakee's low income seniors, is set for a massive green overhaul. The project, aimed at improving energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, has been bolstered by a significant grant of over $550,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development HUD .
