Glen Ellyn, IL – Police in DuPage County are investigating an overnight shooting that left a Glen Ellyn residence struck by bullets early Saturday, October 10, prompting investigators to ask nearby homeowners to review security footage for potential evidence.
According to the Glen Ellyn Police Department , officers responded around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to the area of Tanglewood Drive and Woodview Drive following a report of gunshots that had reportedly been heard approximately 15 minutes before the 911 call.
When officers arrived, they discovered evidence confirming that gunfire had occurred. However, no suspects were located in the immediate area.
Home Struck by Bullets, No Injuries Reported Investigators determined that one residence along Tanglewood Drive had been struck by bullets during the incident.
Police confirmed that no injuries were reported or identified.
Officers contacted several neighborhood residents to check on their well being and search for additional evidence.
With assistance from residents, investigators obtained evidence from residential surveillance systems, including security cameras and video doorbells.
Police Ask Residents to Check Cameras The Glen Ellyn Police Department is requesting that residents near Tanglewood Drive and Woodview Drive review surveillance recordings for suspicious people, vehicles or activity around the time of the shooting.
Anyone with potentially relevant information is asked to call 911 and request to speak with an officer to provide a report.
