COAL CITY – A blaze igniting in the back of a NAPA Auto Parts store reportedly caused over $100,000 in damage and sent one person to the hospital Tuesday.
Authorities were called to the scene in the 200 block of S. Broadway St. shortly before noon after reports of smoke were seen coming from the rear of the building.
The fire was brought under control quickly. One employee was transported to a local hospital for evaluation due to smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
