Chicago, IL – Northern Illinois is heading into an unusually warm stretch of October weather, with temperatures potentially climbing into the upper 80s Monday before a cold front brings rain chances and cooler conditions by Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, dry and unseasonably warm weather will continue through Tuesday, Oct. 13, before a cold front moves across the region Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Forecasters expect the warmest temperatures Monday, when afternoon highs could reach 82 to 88 degrees across the Chicago forecast area.
Temperatures Climb Into the 80s Sunday will bring decreasing cloud cover, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 71 to 80 degrees. Overnight lows are expected to remain between 56 and 61 degrees.
Monday brings a significant warmup, with breezy conditions accompanying highs in the 80s.
