What about Illinois communities not listed? Several major Illinois communities, including Naperville, Joliet and Rockford, do not have confirmed 2026 residential trick or treat hours in the available compilation. Additional municipalities across DuPage, Kane and other counties are also awaiting updates.
Illinois has 102 counties, and this developing list includes the 45 counties represented in the supplied information. Counties not listed should not be interpreted as having canceled Halloween activities.
Parents should accompany younger children, carry flashlights, use reflective materials on costumes and cross streets at designated intersections. Drivers should reduce speed in residential neighborhoods, particularly between 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, when many communities have overlapping trick or treat hours.
Municipalities may publish additional schedules during the week of Oct. 19 25. Families should check city websites and police department announcements again before Saturday, Oct. 31.
Editorial note: This is a county by county presentation of all locations in your source, not yet a verified list for all 102 Illinois counties. The source also contains some older or indirect links, so it would be important to confirm those entries before describing every time as officially announced for 2026.
