Incident Details Chicago, Illinois – A 20 year old man faces felony charges after deputies allegedly recovered a loaded firearm during a CTA platform check Monday evening.
According to authorities, deputies assigned to the CTA detail were conducting a routine platform check at the 87th Street station when they encountered the individual. During the course of the interaction, it is alleged that the man was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.
The subject was immediately taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon and remains held pending a court appearance.
