Chicago, IL – Dry and seasonable weather will dominate the Chicago area through Wednesday, aside from a chance for a few sprinkles across far northern Illinois tonight.
According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, Saturday will feature sunshine with highs ranging from 64 to 71 degrees. Temperatures along the Illinois lakeshore will remain cooler, generally in the lower 60s.
A few sprinkles are possible tonight, mainly north of Interstate 88. Otherwise, conditions will remain dry as lows fall to between 42 and 47 degrees across most of the region. Temperatures should stay in the lower 50s in the city of Chicago.
Sunday turns somewhat warmer, with highs ranging from 69 to 75 degrees. Areas near the lakeshore will remain cooler, generally in the mid 60s. Sunday night lows are forecast between 41 and 48 degrees.
Monday brings another mild and dry day with highs from 64 to 70. Temperatures will stay near 60 degrees close to Lake Michigan before falling into the 39 to 44 degree range overnight. Chicago itself should remain warmer, with lows in the upper 40s.
Temperatures begin climbing again Tuesday, when highs are forecast from 66 to 72 degrees. Wednesday could become the warmest day in the five day outlook, with highs ranging from 70 to 78.
No significant rain is shown through Wednesday. Chicago area residents can expect mostly sunny days, cool nights and a gradual warming trend by the middle of next week.
