Chicago, IL – Dry weather will dominate the Chicago area through at least Thursday, Oct. 8, with sunshine and afternoon temperatures generally in the 60s and 70s.
The National Weather Service in Chicago said Sunday that no rain is forecast for the next several days, while temperatures should remain pleasant for the season.
Monday will start the stretch with sunny skies and highs ranging from 64 to 71 degrees across the Chicago forecast area. Locations along Lake Michigan should remain cooler, with temperatures in the lower 60s near the lake. Monday night lows are forecast from 42 to 47, with upper 40s expected in Chicago.
Tuesday turns warmer under sunny skies. Highs are expected to reach 69 to 75 degrees before temperatures remain considerably milder Tuesday night, with lows of 52 to 55.
Wednesday is forecast to be the warmest day shown in the NWS four day outlook. Mostly sunny skies are expected with highs ranging from 71 to 79 degrees. Wednesday night temperatures should fall into the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Some clouds return Thursday, but dry weather remains in the forecast. Highs are expected to range from 67 to 76 degrees, followed by overnight lows of 47 to 53.
No significant weather hazards are indicated in the outlook. For Chicago area residents planning the week ahead, the main forecast story is an extended stretch of dry, seasonable early October weather, with the warmest temperatures expected around Wednesday.
