Chebanse, IL – The Kankakee County Sheriff ’s Office, in coordination with the US Marshal’s Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended 34 year old Jacob D. Clark on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Authorities took Clark into custody in rural Chebanse without incident shortly after 8:30 a.m. in connection with multiple sexual related offenses.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the arrest stems from several outstanding warrants issued out of Florida, in addition to an active arrest warrant originating in Will County. Clark faces a series of serious charges, including the use of a child in a sexual performance, tampering with a witness or victim, the transmission of material harmful to minors, and the unlawful use of a two way communications device.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that Clark has been transferred to the Jerome Combs Detention Center. He currently remains incarcerated there while awaiting upcoming extradition hearings to address the warrants. Authorities emphasized that these charges are serious and represent the findings of a multi agency investigation.
All suspects are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Officials noted that the investigation into the underlying criminal activity remains active, and no further details regarding the specific evidence collected have been released to the public at this time.
