CHAMPAIGN, IL — Champaign County residents have an opportunity to help save lives Friday, October 16, as the Champaign Urbana Public Health District prepares to host a community blood drive in partnership with ImpactLife.
The three hour event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the public health district's office, located at 201 W. Kenyon Road in Champaign.
According to the Champaign Urbana Public Health District, the blood drive will take place in the main conference room on the north side of the building. Community members interested in donating are encouraged to schedule an appointment ahead of Friday's event.
The drive offers residents of Champaign, Urbana and surrounding Champaign County communities an opportunity to support patients who depend on donated blood for medical procedures, emergency treatment and ongoing care.
Organizers emphasize that every pint donated has the potential to help save lives.
