BBCHS Graduation becomes COVID 19 BETA for Illinois today in Bradley It’s been a roller coaster of a ride for students, who have seen their graduation gone from happening to canceled three times since COVID 19 began. Today, Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School is acting as a COVID 19 test case for the rest of Illinois.
School officials have worked alongside local health officials to create a plan that allows for a drive in graduation ceremony. Seniors will be able to drive their vehicles to the campus, park in designated spots, and watch a broadcast of their graduation on a large screen.
This event is being closely monitored by state officials as a potential template for other schools to follow. If successful, it could provide a blueprint for how other districts can celebrate their graduates while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
