A New Flavor Profile For decades, the site at 1600 N. State Route 50 in Bourbonnais was synonymous with comfort food and, in particular, pies of every shape, size and flavor. But in the near future, the shuttered Bakers Square location will be undergoing a major transformation.
A new restaurant, The Saucy Crab, is slated to move into the space. The establishment specializes in Cajun style seafood boils, which have been growing in popularity across the country.
While construction and permitting timelines often fluctuate, the arrival of The Saucy Crab is a sign of continued economic activity in the Bourbonnais commercial corridor.
