Bourbonnais, IL – Organizers for the Original Secret Pantry have announced an important schedule change for their mobile pop up food distribution event scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026. The adjustment comes following recent logistical delays regarding the arrival of the food truck.
According to the updated schedule, the line up for attendees will begin at 11:00 a.m. The actual distribution of food will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Organizers noted that it remains uncertain at this time whether this time shift will become a permanent fixture for future pantry dates.
There are no financial or residency requirements to receive food, and the service is open to all who are in need. Organizers are requesting a $5 donation from attendees to help support the operations of the mobile pantry. A specific traffic route has been established to ensure a safe process. Vehicles should take Illinois Route 102 Main Street NW , turn onto Stratford Drive East, continue to Briarcliff Lane, and turn right. Drivers should then turn right onto Plum Creek Drive, where vehicles will be staged for pickup on Briarwood Lane.
Participants are asked not to arrive or begin lining up prior to 11:00 a.m. Additionally, attendees are requested to be mindful of residential and commercial driveways, including the Aldi parking lot, to prevent blocking access. Organizers expressed their gratitude for the public’s cooperation in keeping the event safe and efficient.
