BOURBONNAIS Back to school plans are fully underway in District 53 as the 2022 2023 calendar school year is now available. The first day of school for students in the Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 17.
Kindergarten and first grade orientations are scheduled for August 15 and 16. The final day of the school year is currently set for May 26, 2023, pending any emergency closure days.
Key highlights of the upcoming calendar include:
Holiday and Break Schedule Labor Day will be observed on September 5, with no school. Winter break is slated to begin at the end of the day on December 21, with students returning to classes on January 4, 2023. Spring Break is scheduled for the week of March 27 through March 31, 2023.
Parent Teacher Conferences Conferences are scheduled for October 20 and 21, and again on March 9 and 10, 2023.
