Aurora, IL – Six adults have been displaced after a structure fire broke out at a single family home early Monday morning. Aurora firefighters were dispatched to the 1100 block of North Randall Road at approximately 6:27 a.m. to combat the blaze.
According to the Aurora Illinois Fire Department , first arriving crews encountered heavy flames venting from the roof at the rear of the one and a half story residence. All occupants of the home managed to evacuate safely before emergency responders arrived on the scene.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported during the incident. The fire, which was upgraded to a second alarm as crews worked to gain control, proved difficult to manage due to fire spreading into concealed spaces within the attic and roof.
