Eight masked individuals robbed the Peotone Travel Center early this morning, damaging gaming machines before fleeing the scene. Police are investigating.

Peotone, IL – The Peotone Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred early this morning at the Peotone Travel Center. Authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 4:58 a.m.
According to the Peotone Police Department, eight masked individuals allegedly entered the facility and proceeded to damage gaming machines before stealing an undisclosed amount of currency. The investigation into the incident is ongoing as officials work to identify those responsible for the destruction and theft.
The suspects allegedly fled the scene in two separate Acura vehicles that lacked license plates. No further details regarding the identity of the individuals or their current whereabouts have been released at this time.
