School Alert Update: Toy Gun Found at High School, No Threat Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted Wesley Chapel High School with a controlled dismissal Wednesday after a report of a possible threat to the school.
Upon further investigation by school administration and deputies, it was determined that the item reported was a toy gun. There was no threat to the school or students.
The controlled dismissal was conducted out of an abundance of caution, ensuring all students were accounted for and safely transported from the campus.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office reminds the community that safety is a top priority, and all reports of potential threats are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.
