Spring Hill, FL – A Spring Hill man faces two additional child pornography charges after digital forensic investigators allegedly found two more files of child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, on his cellphone.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff ’s Office, its Digital Forensics Unit completed an extraction of Jacob Pierre Parent’s cellphone on Monday, Sept. 28, and investigators allegedly discovered two additional CSAM files.
The sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit later went to Parent’s residence on Eric Street in Spring Hill and took him into custody. Authorities said he was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center on two counts of possession of child pornography and was being held without bond on those charges.
The latest arrest stems from an investigation that began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received information Dec. 30, 2025, concerning alleged possession of CSAM. The information was forwarded to the sheriff’s office for investigation.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the Eric Street residence on April 22. According to investigators, Parent allegedly acknowledged ownership of an email account associated with CSAM and said he had used his cellphone to view such material through social media platforms.
Electronic devices were seized from the home.
Parent was initially arrested on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of unlawful use of a two way communication device. Authorities said the first charge carried no bond, while bond on the communication device charge was set at $5,000.
The sheriff’s office said digital forensic investigators are continuing to examine other devices seized during the original search warrant.
The investigation remains ongoing. All charges are allegations, and Parent is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
