Townsend, DE – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place at a local business early Monday morning. No injuries were reported during the incident, and authorities are now appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.
According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the Shore Stop located at 4235 Dupont Parkway at approximately 1:00 a.m. on September 21, 2026. The preliminary investigation indicates that a masked suspect entered the store and brandished a firearm.
The suspect reportedly demanded cash and merchandise before fleeing the scene on foot. The Criminal Investigations Unit has been assigned to the case.
