Milford, DE – Three men face multiple felony charges after Delaware State Police say a narcotics investigation in Milford led to the seizure of heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine and suspected drug proceeds.
According to Delaware State Police, Mark Boyd, 68, of Milford; Gary Williams, 36, of Ellendale; and Joseph Palmer, 34, of Seaford, were arrested in connection with the investigation.
Police said members of the Kent County Governor& 39;s Task Force were patrolling Unity Lane in Milford around 2 p.m. Sept. 2 when they allegedly observed Boyd conduct several suspected drug transactions.
Detectives determined Boyd, Williams and Palmer were allegedly working together to store narcotics and proceeds from drug sales at multiple lots and inside several vehicles along Unity Lane, police said.
All three men were taken into custody without incident. Investigators subsequently searched the lots and vehicles.
Police said they allegedly recovered approximately 16.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 11.4 grams of suspected heroin and 6.8 grams of suspected cocaine. Investigators also reported seizing approximately $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds, three digital scales and drug packaging materials.
All three suspects face multiple felony controlled substance charges, including possession with intent to deliver, along with second degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to state police.
Boyd was arraigned and released on an $80,200 unsecured bond. Williams and Palmer were each committed to the Delaware Department of Correction on $80,200 cash bonds, police said.
The charges are allegations, and all three defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
