Checkers Drive-In Restaurants off Route 50 has served up its final meal as it unexpectedly closed its doors this past week. Meanwhile, a new location is planned for elsewhere in Bradley soon.
On Thursday, Country Herald reached out to Checkers Drive-In Restaurants spokesperson Kim Francis of Magpie, LLC regarding the recent closure. When asked why the Route 50 location had suddenly shut its doors, Francis said:
“The franchised Checkers restaurant in Bradley, IL, closed because that location had been underperforming for some time. The franchisee is preparing to open a new Checkers on Division Street in Bradley in the coming weeks.”
No word was given on an exact date for the new Checkers Drive-In Restaurant opening.
