Pueblo, CO – A 36 year old man has been arrested on a felony arson charge after authorities say he allegedly set multiple fires in a field near several apartment buildings Sunday afternoon, prompting an emergency response as flames moved toward a residential complex.
According to the Pueblo County Sheriff 's Office, deputies responded to the area of 31st Street and North Pueblo Boulevard on Sunday, Oct. 18, after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting a man setting fires in a field southeast of several apartment buildings.
When deputies arrived, they discovered several fires burning in the area, with flames moving toward a nearby apartment complex.

Pueblo City Fire personnel responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the fires before authorities reported any damage to the apartment buildings.
Investigators began interviewing witnesses who said they had observed a man dressed entirely in black allegedly setting the fires.
Deputies searched the surrounding area and located a man identified as Kyle Holman, 36, walking through the field.
Authorities said Holman matched the description provided by witnesses.

During the investigation, deputies also obtained cellphone video footage from a witness.

Deputies detained Holman and reported finding several lighters in his possession.
Following the investigation, Holman was arrested on a charge of fourth degree arson, a felony under Colorado law.
He was subsequently booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
Authorities did not report any injuries or specify how much land was affected by the fires.
The sheriff's office also did not disclose whether any apartment residents were evacuated during the incident.
