Denver, CO – Warm, dry weather will continue across the Denver metro area through Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, with afternoon highs reaching the mid 80s before increasing clouds and slightly cooler temperatures arrive over the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder, sunshine and above normal warmth will remain in place for the next couple of days, with only minor fluctuations in daily temperatures. Despite increasing cloud cover Saturday and Sunday, the Denver metro area is expected to remain largely dry.
Friday's forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 85 degrees, following Thursday's high of 84. Temperatures will ease to around 82 Saturday as partly sunny conditions develop, with a 10% precipitation chance.
Sunday will bring mostly cloudy skies and a high near 78, with another 10% precipitation chance.
By Monday, Oct. 12, sunshine is expected to return, although afternoon temperatures will drop to around 75 degrees. Overnight lows through the period will generally remain in the 50s.
Elsewhere across north central and northeastern Colorado, the National Weather Service expects mostly clear conditions Friday night. Temperatures in the mountains are forecast to range from 32 to 47 degrees, with a slight chance of showers.
Foothill communities can expect lows ranging from 42 to 64 degrees, while the eastern plains will see temperatures between 44 and 62 degrees. Breezy conditions are expected across the foothills and far eastern plains.
A broader weather pattern change is expected early next week, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and increasing precipitation chances by midweek.
For Denver residents, the immediate outlook remains warm and predominantly dry through the weekend, with the next opportunity for more widespread precipitation developing around the middle of next week.
