Broomfield, CO – Employees at an Intermountain Health operating unit in Broomfield face permanent separation from the company this December as the Trinsic operation transitions fully to UCHealth.
According to an Oct. 2 notice sent by Intermountain Health to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, its Trinsic operating unit at 500 Eldorado Blvd., Building 4, Suite 4300, is scheduled to close Dec. 4. The first employee separations are expected Dec. 9.
Intermountain Health said the entire operating unit will close and all employees at the facility will be affected. The company described the closure as permanent.
Trinsic currently operates as a joint venture between Intermountain Health and UCHealth. Under the planned change, UCHealth will continue operating Trinsic after Dec. 7, with the operation transitioning to full UCHealth ownership.
The notice indicates the employment impact could differ significantly depending on where workers are based.
Intermountain Health said it anticipates that most, if not all, current Trinsic employees who live and work in Colorado will have an opportunity to continue working with Trinsic, subject to UCHealth's hiring decisions.
Employees who live and work outside Colorado may not have the same opportunity to remain with the operation, according to the notice.
All affected employees have been notified of their separation dates, and their separation from Intermountain Health will be permanent. The company also said affected workers will not have bumping rights, meaning they cannot displace more junior employees from other positions as a result of the closure.
No union represents the affected employees, according to the filing.
The notice includes an exhibit listing affected positions and the number of employees impacted. The portion of the filing provided here does not show that exhibit, so an exact number of affected workers cannot be confirmed from the available page.
