Fresno, CA – A cooler November weather pattern is settling across California's San Joaquin Valley this week, with afternoon temperatures expected to remain below 70 degrees in many communities from Monday, November 2, through Thursday, November 5.
According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, fall like temperatures will dominate much of the week, although brief warming trends Tuesday and Thursday could allow some locations to climb above 70 degrees.
Monday, November 2, begins the cooler stretch, with nearly every major valley community showing little chance of exceeding 70 degrees. Bakersfield, Hanford, Coalinga and Mariposa have a 0% probability of surpassing that mark, while Fresno and Visalia have just a 3% chance.
Temperatures could rebound slightly Tuesday, November 3, as a ridge of high pressure influences the region.
Coalinga has a 45% chance of exceeding 70 degrees Tuesday , followed by Visalia at 35%, Hanford at 30%, and Fresno and Bakersfield at 25%.
The cooler conditions return Wednesday, November 4, when probabilities of temperatures above 70 degrees drop to nearly zero across most valley communities.
Another warming opportunity arrives Thursday, November 5, as a second ridge develops.
Lake Isabella has the strongest chance of exceeding 70 degrees Thursday at 80% , followed by Coalinga at 55%. Fresno and Visalia each have a 25% chance, while Hanford stands at 20% and Bakersfield at 15%.
Mariposa is forecast to remain particularly cool, with a 0% chance of exceeding 70 degrees throughout the four day period.
The outlook signals a noticeable seasonal transition for residents across Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Kern and surrounding counties.
While temperatures may briefly climb during the week, the overall forecast favors comfortable fall afternoons rather than prolonged warmth.
