EUREKA, CA – Residents across portions of Northern California face an early morning frost threat Friday, with temperatures dropping near 34 degrees in several inland communities and potentially damaging sensitive outdoor plants.
According to the National Weather Service in Eureka, a Frost Advisory remains in effect from 1 a.m. until 10 a.m. PDT Friday, Oct. 30, covering portions of Humboldt, Mendocino and Lake counties.
Forecasters warn that cold overnight temperatures could produce frost, particularly in sheltered valleys and colder inland locations.

Communities listed within the affected region include Willits, Covelo, Laytonville, Fieldbrook, Dinsmore, Benbow, Potter Valley and areas near Gravelly Valley Airport.
Temperatures as low as 34 degrees are expected in parts of the advisory area, creating conditions favorable for frost formation.
