Wood County Suspect Taken Into Custody
Wood County authorities have taken Andrew Strock into custody in the Boaz area. He is currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail for his case.

Wood County, WV – Local authorities confirmed that a suspect is now in custody following an arrest made in the Boaz area. Andrew Strock was apprehended by law enforcement early last month.
According to the Wood County Sheriff 's Office, Deputy Blaine Thornburg took Strock into custody on the evening of August 3, 2026. The department issued an official press release regarding the matter on September 4, 2026.
Following his arrest, Strock was transported to the North Central Regional Jail. He remains in custody as the case proceeds.
