Wisconsin governor candidates set for Oct. 21 debate in Milwaukee

(The Center Square) – The two candidates for Wisconsin governor will take part in a debate on Oct. 21 without an audience at the Marquette University Law School.

Democrat David Crowley and Republican Tom Tiffany will take part in the debate between 7 and 8 p.m., hosted by WISN with moderators Matt Smith and Gerron Jordan.

Debate topics will include cost of living, taxes, immigration enforcement, data centers and election security.

The debate will be two weeks before the Nov. 3 election.

Tiffany, currently a congressman, handily won his primary while Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive, reentered the race and narrowly defeated state Rep. Francesca Hong in the primary.

Crowley was endorsed by current Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers as he reentered following Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez dropping out of the race. Former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes later dropped out as well.
