Wisconsin – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources DNR has announced revisions to the boundaries for Deer Management Units DMUs in the Northern and Central Forest zones ahead of the 2026 hunting season. These adjustments are intended to streamline management practices and provide clarity for hunters across the state.
According to the DNR, DMUs within the Northern and Central Forest zones are now designated by specific identification numbers rather than county names. Conversely, Farmland Zone DMUs will continue to be identified by their respective county names.
