Fitchburg, WI – The Fitchburg Police Department has confirmed that three high school aged juveniles were taken into custody following an incident that occurred on Monday, September 14, 2026. While the identities and specific nature of the case remain shielded due to the subjects' ages, officials have moved quickly to clarify the scope of the event.
Attribution from the Fitchburg Police Department indicates that despite the age of the individuals involved, the event did not occur at, nor involve, any local school district premises. The department stated that the custodial contacts were unrelated to educational facilities, aiming to quell community concern regarding school safety.
The case, officially logged under incident number FP26 16312, is currently subject to an ongoing investigation. Because of the sensitivity of the situation and the ages of the minors involved, the department has announced it will not be releasing any additional information at this time.
Authorities are maintaining a strict silence as the investigation proceeds. Residents are reminded that official updates will be disseminated if the department deems it appropriate for public awareness in the future.
