Detroit, MI – A Detroit man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting a 33 year old woman and her 7 year old daughter inside a home on the city's west side, leaving both victims hospitalized.
According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office and Detroit Police Department , 32 year old Aaron Matthew Wright of Detroit has been charged in connection with the October 12 shooting in the 8000 block of Farnsworth Street.
Officers responded to the residence around 7 p.m. Monday following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her arm and her daughter suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest.
Emergency medical personnel transported both victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions were not disclosed in the department's statement.

Investigators allege Wright and the woman were involved in a verbal dispute on the home's front porch.
During the confrontation, the woman's 7 year old daughter was reportedly standing near her mother inside the living room.
Authorities allege that when the woman attempted to close the front door, Wright forced his way inside and fired a handgun, striking both victims before fleeing.
