WASHINGTON, D.C. Wantefully hair dryer brushes are being recalled because they can pose serious electrocution, shock and burn hazards, according to a federal notice announced Sept. 10, 2026.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the brushes do not include an integrated immersion protection device required under federal regulations for hair dryers. Without that protection, a brush that falls into water while plugged in could cause electrocution or electric shock, potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
