Minneapolis, Minnesota – Temperatures fall into the low 40s outside the Twin Cities tonight before a dry Wednesday gives way to rain showers Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities office, mostly clear and cool conditions are expected tonight, with lows ranging from 40 to 45 degrees across the region.
Wednesday will bring dry and seasonable fall weather. High temperatures will range from 60 to 65 degrees, followed by overnight lows of 45 to 55.
Rain returns Thursday. Showers are likely across western Minnesota, while scattered showers are expected across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Highs will remain between 60 and 65 degrees, with Thursday night temperatures ranging from 50 to 55.
The wet weather could affect Thursday travel and outdoor plans, particularly across western Minnesota where showers are expected to be more widespread. Residents should account for wet roads and changing conditions during the day.
Conditions begin improving Friday. The NWS outlook calls for mostly cloudy skies with showers still possible late in the day. Temperatures will turn slightly warmer, with highs ranging from 60 to 70 degrees and lows from 50 to 60 Friday night.
For residents planning outdoor activities, Wednesday offers the driest opportunity before showers return Thursday. Rain becomes more scattered farther east, while additional showers remain possible late Friday.
