Washington, D.C. Consumers should stop using spiral toys sold by SHEIN Distribution Corporation after a recall announced Sept. 3, 2026, because the items contain small balls that can pose a deadly choking hazard to young children.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled spiral toys violate the federal small ball ban by including small balls while being intended for children under three years of age, increasing the risk of serious injury or death if a child chokes on a detached piece.
The agency said caregivers, parents and childcare providers should check homes, daycare centers and gift supplies for these spiral toys and remove them from areas where infants and toddlers might reach them.
