Researchers analyzed genomes from about 450,000 people across European, African and Japanese ancestries and pinpointed 44 genes linked to lower Alzheimer’s risk in APOE4 carriers. Many implicate oligodendrocytes and myelination, highlighting drug targets and a route toward personalized prevention and treatment—important for tailored Alzheimer’s strategies.
