West Baraboo, WI – Two Baraboo men could face criminal charges after a local business was burglarized multiple times and computer equipment was stolen during the past month, authorities announced Wednesday.
According to the Sauk County Sheriff 's Office, detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on West Maple Street in the Village of West Baraboo as part of the ongoing burglary investigation.
Investigators said they recovered much of the property allegedly stolen during the burglaries and identified two suspects.
The sheriff's office said it will refer potential criminal charges against 18 year old Casey J. Brunner of Baraboo to the Sauk County District Attorney. Those referrals include two counts of burglary to a building and theft of movable property valued at more than $2,500.
Authorities also plan to refer potential charges against 21 year old Ronnie L. Dobbs of Baraboo for allegedly being party to the crimes of burglary and theft.
The allegations are referrals for potential prosecution, and the announcement does not indicate that either man has been convicted of the alleged offenses.
The sheriff's office did not identify the business or specify how many computers or other items were allegedly stolen. The investigation remains ongoing.
