Rockford Fire Department Responds to Two Overnight Structure Fires
The Rockford Fire Department responded to two overnight residential structure fires in Illinois. Investigations are ongoing, but no injuries were reported.

Rockford, IL – The Rockford Fire Department responded to two separate residential structure fires overnight, resulting in significant property damage and the displacement of several local residents.
According to the Rockford Fire Department, the first blaze occurred at the 3100 block of Summerdale Avenue. This fire resulted in $35,000 in damages and displaced three adults and two children. A second fire took place at the 2800 block of Lapey Street, causing $25,000 in damages, though no residents were displaced in that incident.
Fire officials confirmed that there were no injuries reported in either of the fires. Both incidents remain under investigation by the Rockford Fire Department to determine the official causes of the blazes.
