Public Health Officials Report Single Case of Measles in Kane County
Kane County health officials have confirmed one case of measles and are advising residents to check their vaccination status to prevent further spread.

The Kane County Health Department reported a confirmed measles case in the county on Aug. 24. Public health officials said they are working to identify people who may have had contact with the patient during the infectious period.
Measles is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can cause fever, cough and rash. Health officials are encouraging residents to review their vaccination status and contact a health care provider with questions about immunization or possible exposure.
