While Wednesday will feature sunshine, residents should be aware of wind gusts that could impact morning commutes and outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service , Wednesday will bring a slight chance of morning showers before 9 a.m., followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 87 degrees. Winds will be out of the southwest at 7 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph. Conditions will deteriorate Wednesday night, with showers and thunderstorms likely before 4 a.m. and a 90% chance of precipitation.
Thursday will continue the wet trend, with a 60% chance of showers and a high temperature of 78 degrees. Winds will remain relatively light out of the west at 7 mph. By Thursday night, the precipitation chance drops to 30%, with mostly cloudy skies and a low near 60 degrees.
Residents in Allegheny County should take precautions against potential localized ponding from the expected quarter to half inch of rain on Wednesday night. Keep a watchful eye on changing road conditions during the early morning hours on Thursday.
