Paducah, Kentucky – Highs stay in the low 70s Wednesday before warmer, dry weather carries western Kentucky through the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, lingering cloud cover will keep temperatures cooler Wednesday. Dry conditions are expected through the remainder of the week and into the weekend.
Paducah is expected to reach 71 degrees Wednesday before falling to 61 overnight. Temperatures then climb to 82 Thursday and Friday, followed by 80 Saturday and 83 Sunday.
Other communities will experience a similar warmup. Murray rises from 74 Wednesday to 80 Thursday and Friday, while Madisonville climbs from 71 Wednesday to 79 Thursday and Friday. Henderson reaches 79 Thursday and Friday after a Wednesday high of 71.
Southern Illinois will also start cool. Carbondale reaches 72 Wednesday before climbing to 79 Thursday and 80 Friday. Mount Vernon rises from 71 Wednesday to 79 Thursday and 80 Friday.
Cooler nighttime readings will accompany the dry pattern. Paducah drops to 59 Thursday night and 56 Friday and Saturday nights. Cape Girardeau falls to 56 Friday and Saturday nights, while Poplar Bluff reaches 55 Wednesday and Thursday nights.
No rain is indicated in the Weather Service information through the weekend. That should limit weather related disruptions for regional travel and outdoor activities, although drivers may encounter lingering cloud cover Wednesday.
Temperatures continue climbing after the weekend. Paducah reaches 86 Monday and 90 Tuesday, while Owensboro and Mount Vernon could reach 89 Tuesday. The dry stretch continues through the weekend, with warmer afternoons becoming the main change.
