Springfield, Missouri – Patchy fog or light drizzle could affect parts of the Ozarks through Wednesday morning before warmer, mainly dry weather takes hold.
According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, patchy fog or light drizzle will be possible in some areas tonight into Wednesday morning. Temperatures will fall to between 54 and 60 degrees.
Drivers traveling overnight and during the Wednesday morning commute should be prepared for locally reduced visibility where fog develops. Damp pavement is also possible in areas that receive drizzle.
Conditions improve Wednesday, with partly sunny skies and highs ranging from 73 to 85 degrees across the region. Wednesday night temperatures will fall to between 50 and 58.
Thursday continues the seasonably pleasant pattern. Highs will range from 74 to 86 degrees, with lows of 52 to 61 Thursday night. Friday will be warmer, reaching 77 to 87 degrees before overnight readings fall to between 55 and 65.
The warming trend continues Saturday, when highs are expected to range from 77 to 88 degrees. The NWS outlook shows a 15% to 40% chance of rain Saturday, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 57 to 67.
Residents can expect dry conditions through Friday after Wednesday morning's fog and drizzle potential ends. The next opportunity for rain arrives Saturday as temperatures climb into the upper 80s in the warmest locations.
