Charlotte, NC — North Carolina residents can look forward to a refreshing shift in the weather pattern, with a sharp 13-degree cooldown arriving just in time for the second half of the Labor Day weekend. While the region starts the holiday period under sweltering conditions, the arrival of more moderate air by Sunday will offer a much-needed break from the heat for outdoor plans and travel.

Plan extra time for potential road travel, as moisture may lead to periodic wet pavement.
