Bethesda, Md. Consumers were warned on Aug. 13, 2026, to stop using SUGIFT branded pressure washers after a federal recall highlighted a serious risk of shock and electrocution. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled SUGIFT pressure washers do not include a built in ground fault circuit interrupter GFCI . The agency said the unit’s short power cord may prompt users to plug in an extension cord, increasing the likelihood of electrical shock or electrocution when used near water. The CPSC said the defect creates a potentially life threatening hazard.
