MESA COUNTY, CO – Two men were arrested in separate incidents across Mesa County this week after sheriff's deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and allegedly discovered suspected LSD and more than 13 grams of methamphetamine during investigations in Fruita and Clifton.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff 's Office, the first arrest occurred Wednesday, Oct. 7, at approximately 11:40 a.m. when deputies contacted 27 year old Cody Cobb Field in the 200 block of Red Cliffs Drive in Fruita.
Authorities said Cobb Field had an active felony arrest warrant and was allegedly in possession of suspected LSD, identified as lysergic acid diethylamide tablets.
He was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility.
Cobb Field faces allegations involving the outstanding felony warrant and misdemeanor possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.
The sheriff's office said he remains in custody on a parole hold.
In a separate incident Thursday, Oct. 8, deputies responded at approximately 4:45 p.m. to a report involving a stolen vehicle in the 500 block of 32½ Road in Clifton.
During the investigation, deputies located the stolen vehicle and contacted Michael Degregorio, 35, of Grand Junction.
Authorities said Degregorio was allegedly in possession of the vehicle's keys and just over 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
He was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility.
Degregorio faces charges of second degree motor vehicle theft, a Class 4 felony, and unlawful possession of more than 4 grams of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, a Level 4 drug felony.
The sheriff's office said Degregorio received a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.
Authorities have not indicated that the two arrests are connected.
Both men are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
