McHenry County, IL – Viewers will get a behind the scenes look inside the McHenry County Jail beginning this week when the sheriff’s office appears in the seventh season of the television series “JAIL.”
According to the McHenry County Sheriff ’s Office, the department was selected to participate in the production, which follows corrections officers and deputies through work that takes place after an arrest.
Production crews filmed inside the McHenry County Jail, and footage featuring the sheriff’s office will appear in four episodes during the upcoming season.
Season 7 begins streaming Thursday, Oct. 1 , with availability listed on Roku, Prime Video, Sony PlayStation and VIZIO.
Sheriff Robb Tadelman said the production gave viewers an opportunity to see work performed inside the jail that is typically out of public view.
“This was an opportunity to give viewers a look inside the jail and at the work our corrections staff does every day,” Tadelman said in the department’s announcement.
The sheriff added that he was proud of the professionalism and dedication of the corrections employees featured during filming.
The television series focuses on the jail and corrections process following arrests, providing viewers with footage of daily operations and interactions involving law enforcement personnel and people being held in custody.
McHenry County officials did not specify which four episodes will feature the department or when each individual segment will become available during the season.
The sheriff’s office said it plans to share additional information about its appearances as the season progresses.
Residents interested in seeing the McHenry County Jail featured on the series can begin watching when Season 7 starts streaming Oct. 1.
