It has been over a month since Governor J.B. Pritzker has issued his original shelter in place mandate. As of April 23rd, the Village of Manteno has finally closed public playground equipment in town.
The move comes as the state pushes toward May 1st, the currently scheduled end date for the Governor’s extended Stay at Home order.
Playgrounds had previously remained open in the village, despite state guidance regarding high touch surfaces in public parks.
